Don’t Slip…

At times I’m amazed at how easy it is for me to give place to complaining; especially if aggravations are consistent.

But when I think about it, aggravation was consistently present with Jesus in the form of Judas, wasn’t it?  That guy was a thief and a liar even though he lived and “walked” with Jesus every day; yet, God loved him.  God didn’t slip into complaints regarding him even though every word would have been justified.

Jesus knew that it wasn’t about that.  Neither is life in God for us.  Living Godly is about living righteously… that means allowing ourselves to be transformed into the image of Christ Who Himself is the exact image of God, according to scripture.

Ever think about that?  I have and, whenever I do, it adds amazing grips to my feet.  Humility increases the strength of our foundation in God, y’all; it allows us to yield to God’s desires to cleanse all blemishes to our personality. Saying yes to God’s desires will enable us to “love” continually, even when aggravations are present, and it’ll keep us from slipping into complaint.

More Ways Than One

There are all kinds of ways to relate to people, and I am learning that as God courses me through discipling others.  God tailors His teaching and treatment of our ills to our personality bent… He has to, because so many of us receive Truth differently.

It’s the same Truth – it’s Jesus – but each person perceives and receives Jesus and information in general… differently.  It’s like God relating to Mack in The Shack as a woman because Mack didn’t have a positive relationship with his father.  God will also submit to our perceptions of Him as an “old” and almost “grandfatherly” figure, if that gives Him an inroad to our hearts.  Because once He has a way in, He can process our lives to eventually receive the fullest and most accurate accounting of His being we can handle.

That happened to me.

So lately I’ve been introduced to some more “new ways” of relating to people’s hearts in Jesus – by His definitions and in ways indicative of His “Pastor” heart.  He’s training me and giving me constant affirmations (MUCH needed) as I continue on His way.  People are wonderful (and terrible), and I can see why He loves us so much.  The “terrible” stuff all happens for a reason.  No excuses, but definitely reasons for everything… my stuff included!  That tenders me to human existence in general and even softens my heart towards myself… that’s so necessary.  Forgiveness is not only to be outstretched to others, but we are to bathe ourselves in the same sweet oils we release.  We deserve (and desperately need) it from ourselves upon ourselves, by God’s awesome power.

New things and new ways are being introduced and absorbed, and the adventure continues in Christ’s Name.  I’m enjoying it.

Thank You, Lord Jesus

Good-Friday-WallpaperThank You, dear Lord Jesus, for making it possible by Your blood for me to be reconciled and reunited with Abba.  I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t meet with Him whenever I chose… whenever He chooses… because of You, He’s always fully accessible to me.

Dear Jesus, I know I probably won’t realize fully what a fabulous gift has been granted all of mankind through Your sacrifice which we remember on this day.  Not until Heaven when You’re dwelling with us and we behold Your hands and feet and side forever will I even begin to absorb the staggering price You paid so that I could/can call Jehovah my Father… my Daddy… as close and warm as You do.

Thank You for wanting to share Him.  Thank You for being God also.  Thank You for making the way and being the Way to life with the Eternal Godhead and fullness of JOY forever.

I said, “share Him”, but I also realize that – with Almighty God – it is possible for all of us to have all of Him, individually and corporately, always… because of YOU.  I want Abba, I want You, and I want Holy Spirit with me forever… I can’t imagine life or living without the Three of You because there is no life without You all.  The Godhead IS Life eternal.

Merciful God, I bless Your Name and I bless Your plan of Salvation for the masses.  It has saved my life.  I am among those who have entered the Ark of Safety which is the Lord Jesus the Christ Himself… and I am so glad.  I am so glad.

My soul rejoices within me such that I cannot speak except to say, with my soul and within my spirit echoed in my heart of hearts…

BLESS YOU, LORD JESUS, for Your sacrifice commemorated by us this day.  You are the Door to the Father; You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God – and we worship Your Holy Name and Bless You forevermore…

“… and we believe and are sure that YOU ARE THAT CHRIST, the Son of the Living God.” (John 6:69)

In Your Precious, Holy, and Magnificent Name we thank and Praise You.

Amen.
